A lecture on a variety of current topics regarding gender and more specifically the trans-identities. Social etiquette in the scope of gender. Definitions of gender related terms. Defining gender, historical, current, and future possibilities. Historical perspective and pioneers in Trans-identities. Social acceptance of Trans-identities. Fashioning our own self-identification. Gender in bureaucracy. Creating a shift in social paradigm. Viewpoints from Jesse Fraser and Daphne Crossman on socialization. The need for medicalization and endocrine pharmacology.

Oct 28th, Regional Leadership Training Summit

goBeyond, a province-wide network, is hosting a leadership skills summit October 28th and October 29th at the UVic campus. The objective is to build capacity among student groups and the end goal is to help our institutions become more sustainable. The summit will include a media training workshop, a facilitating workshop, and an event/project planning workshop. This event is a great chance for students to gain tangible and hands-on experience to expand their knowledge base, improve their skill set, build confidence and network with other progressive people. It is a must for any student who wants to make a difference in the world as it will give people the tools and the support group necessary to contribute to positive change.
