Student Groups may exist in 1 of 4 categories: (1) Common-Interest Club (2) Recreation Club (3) Course Union (4) Class Project

Group Registration & Renewal Form

This form is for student groups who are registering or renewing their group status. Your group must be actively registered to be recognized by the CCSS and be eligible for support and funding during that semester. Registration or Renewal is active only for the semester when the form is submitted electronically (eg. Renewal forms submitted in December are only valid for the Fall Semester renewal). Please read the CCSS Clubs Policy for full details.

Sorry, only current members of the Camosun College Student Society (Students who are taking courses at Camosun College, or have in the last 4 months) can form Student Groups. Community members are welcome to join Common-Interest and Recreational Clubs in a limited capacity.

Since you do not meet the requirement to start a club, you should not proceed any further. This form is only for current students or students enrolled in the past 4 months.

You can not use the word Camosun in your group. Your group name can be creative or descriptive, as the group directory indicates what your common-interest, activity, course, or department is.

Common-Interest Clubs:

Must have at least 10 members (with at least 50% current Camosun student membership)... Must submit CLUB MEMBERSHIP upon registration and at the start of each academic year... All meetings and activities must be posted to the CCSS Clubs Calendar... All members are required to comply with the Camosun Student Conduct Policy (click here for the policy). Any violations of this policy will result in the termination of your Student Group... The CCSS reserves the unlimited right to terminate any group at any time... Up to 200$ of GENERAL FUNDING is available to clubs, which is defined "eligible group expenses" in Clubs Policy.. All reimbursements require detailed receipts... Further funding requires a Group Funding Application... Travel Funds are available to Student Groups and do not affect your funding eligibility... Course Unions must hold at least one (1) public seminar each semester (Fall/Winter only)... All meetings and activities must be posted to the CCSS Clubs Calendar... Class Projects:

Registered Class Projects are eligible to apply for up to $300 of funding. Funding applications are made through the Student Group Funding application form, available at . Funding decisions consider merit, number of students, and availability of funds. Please read the CCSS Clubs Policy for details.
