(1) Common-Interest Club
(2) Recreation Club
(3) Course Union
(4) Class Project

All Student Group must comply with the Clubs Policy IV: REQUIREMENTS.

Group Registration & Renewal Form

This form is for student groups who are registering or renewing their group status. Your group must be actively registered to be recognized by the CCSS and be eligible for support and funding during that semester. Registration or Renewal is active only for the semester when the form is submitted electronically (eg. Renewal forms submitted in December are only valid for the Fall Semester renewal). Please read the CCSS Clubs Policy for full details.

Sorry, only current members of the Camosun College Student Society (Students who are taking courses at Camosun College, or have in the last 4 months) can form Student Groups. Community members are welcome to join Common-Interest and Recreational Clubs in a limited capacity.

Since you do not meet the requirement to start a club, you should not proceed any further. This form is only for current students or students enrolled in the past 4 months.

Note: You can not use the word Camosun in your group. Your group name can be creative or descriptive, as the group directory indicates what your common-interest, activity, course, or department is. Eg. The High Rollers (Cycling, Recreational)

Course Unions must hold at least one (1) public seminar each semester (Fall/Winter only)… All meetings and activities must be posted to the CCSS Clubs Calendar… All members are required to comply with the Camosun Student Conduct Policy (click here for the policy). Registered Class Projects are eligible to apply for up to $300 of funding. Funding applications are made through the Student Group Funding application form, available at CamosunStudent.org/clubs/forms . Funding decisions consider merit, number of students, and availability of funds. Please read the CCSS Clubs Policy for details.

Course unions must have a sponsoring faculty member, and must offer at least one public seminar per academic year. Please refer to the Clubs Policy for details.
The sponsoring faculty member will be maintain continuity of the course union as years pass.
Please indicate the purpose of the group, as well as a short description of planned activities in 30-100 words.
The CCSS provides all clubs with base funding for pre-approved expenses, as outlined in the Clubs Policy. Please select from the above CLUB FUNDING options.
I understand that I must submit a registry of group members to be eligible for funding within 60 days. The club will not be active until this has been submitted.
You must be able to include the Name and Student Number of each member of your class project or student event at this time.

To receive funding, Student Groups must apply through the Student Group Funding Application. Please visit http://CamosunStudent.org/clubs/forms for more information.
Please confirm that you have understand that any group can be removed, revoked access to funding, and organizers can loose their right to participate in other clubs if they violate the Terms of Conduct as outlined in the CCSS Clubs Policy, available here: CCSS Clubs Policy (new window)
All Student Groups must meet the requirements of their group's definition to continue their status and be recognized by the CCSS. In addition to meeting the basic requirements, student groups must submit a RENEWAL form during each semester of activity.
